The Collective Care Workshop Series is back!

This project came about over many conversations with my amazing, brilliant sister Cat - the family's most passionately outspoken political activist since we were in middle school - about the ups and downs of our nonprofit careers. We wanted to explore ways to use the platforms, skills, and experience we have to help support people in the work of reimagining their organizations and community spaces to align better with their progressive values. This series launched in January with a fantastic session on burnout, and how both individuals and institutions can address it. Now we're moving into deeper conversations about power, systems and relationships. We hope you'll join us!

Registration is $100 per person (or 2 people for South Sister & Mount Hood cohort members). Through April and May, you can purchase both upcoming sessions for a discounted price of $150! All sessions will take place on Zoom, led by Cat Willett. Recordings will be available after each workshop for anyone who pre-purchased but can't attend.

Love Our Neighbors: Skills and Practices for Bystander Intervention

SATURDAY, June 21, 2025 (11 am - 1 pm PST)
We know that incidents of hate and bias are increasing in our communities. Many of us want to act but, in the moment, freeze up, fumble or even seem to make things worse. Our social conditioning and even our brain’s wiring can work against us in the moment, despite our best intentions. Come learn some practical skills to intervene effectively, consistently, and humbly and help build the communities we need and deserve.

(Note from Claire: this is a great opportunity for organizations whose venues are public gathering spaces, like arts organizations, to provide new skills to public-facing staff, board and volunteers!)

We Can’t Lead Where We Won’t Go: Power and Privilege Issues at Work

SATURDAY, August 9, 2025 (11 am - 1 pm PST)
This training engages the individual, relational, and organizational impacts of privilege at work. Build the skills you need to mindfully address privilege personally and create tools for collectively shifting power.

(Note from Claire: we strongly recommend this one for board members, staff leadership, and HR personnel!)
