COLLECTIVE ACTION WORKSHOP SERIES
This brand-new series is geared toward nonprofit workplaces and other community organizations, led by a skilled professional with two masters' degrees and decades of experience in activism, restorative practices, and collective care. Her name is Cat Willett and she's my amazing sister!
Registration is $100 per person (or 2 people for South Sister & Mount Hood cohort members). Through April and May, you can purchase both upcoming sessions for a discounted price of $150! Recordings will be available after each workshop for anyone who pre-purchased but can't attend.
Love Our Neighbors: Skills and Practices for Bystander Intervention
SATURDAY, June 21, 2025 (11 am - 1 pm PST)
We know that incidents of hate and bias are increasing in our communities. Many of us want to act but, in the moment, freeze up, fumble or even seem to make things worse. Our social conditioning and even our brain’s wiring can work against us in the moment, despite our best intentions. Come learn some practical skills to intervene effectively, consistently, and humbly and help build the communities we need and deserve. $100 per person (or 2 people for South Sister & Mount Hood cohort members). Facilitated by Cat Willett.
(Note from Claire: this is a great opportunity for artists and arts organizations, whose venues are public gathering spaces, to provide new skills to public-facing staff, board and volunteers!)
We Can’t Lead Where We Won’t Go: Power and Privilege Issues at Work
SATURDAY, August 9, 2025 (11 am - 1 pm PST)
This training engages the individual, relational, and organizational impacts of privilege at work. Build the skills you need to mindfully address privilege personally and create tools for collectively shifting power. $100 per person (or 2 people for South Sister & Mount Hood cohort members). Facilitated by Cat Willett.
(Note from Claire: we strongly recommend this one for board members, staff leadership, and HR personnel!)
GRANTWRITING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERIES
While there are no upcoming dates scheduled for spring and summer for my Prospect Research workshop, and I've retired my 3-hour Grantwriting 101 master class from last year, they're still available for booking as private workshops. I'm running a sale through midnight on June 1 with both available for $500 (a 50% discount!) with the code SPRING2025. Whether you want to run your whole staff and board through an intensive training, or you partner with a coalition of peer nonprofits who support each other with resource-sharing, these are both great opportunities to get a group together and custom-tailor a workshop to your needs.
PROSPECT RESEARCH WORKSHOPS
By far the most common question I hear from aspiring grantwriters is "Where do I find which grants I should apply for?" In this cozy, hands-on workshop, we will go over some of the basic tools of prospect research before diving in together in real time; I'll share my screen as we put on our detective hats and go digging through the internet to try and chase down at least one real, new lead for everyone in the class.
GRANTWRITING 101 MASTER CLASS
This class is geared toward beginners, starting with how to collect and assemble the foundational building blocks of a grant, through all my best tips and tricks (how do you make your application stronger? what are the most common reasons grants get declined?), culminating in a guided tour through the tools I use for my own work like calendar tracking and sample budgets, and ending with a Q&A where I tackle everybody's questions.
5-HOUR CONSULTING PACKAGE
Do you have a particularly unwieldy or complicated grant coming up that could use a punch-up? Do you need help building a grants calendar to get you started? Are you interested in building a practice as a freelance grantwriter and want some mentorship and support? I can help! Between April 1 and May 30, 2025, I'm opening my books for short-term projects! Book at the link below and I'll reach out to you to schedule.
(30 days notice is required if you're up against a grant deadline. All meetings to take place via Zoom. Limit 10 hours per organization.)
